The Beknopte Verklarende Woordeboek has been a reliable companion in the Afrikaans class, home and office for more than 40 years.
For the ninth edition the Beknop boasts a sparkling new jacket with Pharos's rebranded look. The dictionary has furthermore been augmented with a supplement of more than 1000 new Afrikaans words and words that have not previously been included in either the Beknop or its elder sibling, the Verklarende Afrikaanse Woordeboek.
